Tess Mattisson

Zaplox AB (publ), which offers hotels, resorts, and casinos a contact-free, digital guest journey for a safe and engaging guest experience, announces that the company has recruited Tess Mattisson as the new CEO of Zaplox with start at the end of March 2022. Tess replaces Even Frydenberg, who will stay on as company's CEO until she onboards in March and he will continue to be part of Zaplox as an active board member. Even will collaborate and support the new CEO during a longer transition period to ensure Zaplox's continued growth, focusing on current and future investments and partner and customer relationships.

Even Frydenberg left his position as the chairman of the board of Zaplox in 2020 to become the company's CEO with the mission to evaluate the company's needs and lead the strategic transformation and operational development to enable Zaplox's growth journey. 2020 and 2021 yielded very good results despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic with increasing sales and a significantly growing number of customer installations. As of now, Zaplox has more than 45,000 contracted doors and over 20,000 revenue-generating doors, representing a growth of 40 percent and 70 percent respectively.

Tess Mattisson brings extensive experience from the travel and hotel industry in several different countries. She has held several leadership roles with responsibility for digitalization, sales and marketing in the hotel industry. During her time as the head of eCommerce at Nordic Choice Hotels, she focused on driving business value through digital sales and service. She has also been the senior director sales & marketing for EMEA at Choice Hotels International Inc. Most recently, Tess was the head of eCommerce & customer digital development for Scandic Hotels AB. Tess is an accomplished leader and was appointed one of the "10 Best Women Leaders 2020 by Industry-Era". She holds a degree in PR & Communication from Berghs School of Communication.
