Do Van Quy

Crowne Plaza Yas Island has appointed Do Van Quy as chef de cuisine for Jing Asia. The Vietnamese chef has worked elsewhere in the Middle East, as well as in Asia, including at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, where he took charge of its dedicated Vietnamese restaurant Citron.

At Jing Asia, Quy will lead cooking classes for authentic hand-pulled noodles as well as hosting his own pop-up every Sunday, serving wok dishes, noodles and peking duck.

Quy started his professional career in 2013 in Hai Phong City by opening his own restaurant. Here he began to specialise in pho, while also learning some key management skills that ended up landing him several roles with leadership responsibilities. In 2016, he left Vietnam to pursue international opportunities working at Sofitel Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa in Bahrain as a demi chef.

In 2018, he took the position of chef de partie at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Bahrain Bay, when he began to specialise in hand-pulled noodles and peking duck.
