Alison Mitchell

Commonwealth Hotels announced today that Alison Mitchell has been appointed general manager of The Art Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. Mitchell brings a decade of experience managing restaurants and hotels from New York to Colorado. In this new role, Mitchell will oversee all daily operations of the #1 Hotel in Denver & #18 Best Hotel in the World (Condé Nast Traveler's 2021 Readers' Choice Awards) located in Denver's cultural Golden Triangle Museum District, featuring 165 colorful guest rooms and suites, a refreshed FIRE Restaurant & Lounge, and its own collection of 50+ pieces of contemporary artwork and eye-catching installations.

Mitchell began her career at a variety of restaurants in New York where she grew to managing partner and continued a manager role within the restaurant industry. Her hospitality background took off with White Lodging Services starting as director of food & beverage, growing to dual assistant general manager across the portfolio's various hotels. Prior to joining The ART Hotel Denver, Mitchell held a general manager position at Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station of Davidson Hospitality, as well as their hotel restaurant.

Mitchell loves spending time with her family including her two-year-old daughter, husband who also works in the hospitality industry, and their 12-year-old fur baby. In her free time, she also enjoys cooking, gardening in the summer and skiing in the winter. A fun fact is that she has a Bachelor's in Modern Dance from SUNY Brockport in addition to a Bachelor's in Communications. Mitchell is excited to work together with her new team at The ART Hotel Denver to bring the best experience to guests.
