Nadeem Siddiqui has been appointed General Manager at The Gwen in Chicago
The Gwen (521 N. Rush St., Chicago), a Luxury Collection Hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nadeem Siddiqui as General Manager. As the newest appointed leader on the executive leadership team, Siddiqui will drive forward the luxury hotel's mission of delivering unparalleled guest experiences while maintaining a dynamic environment for all employees. The Gwen was ranked #1 in Chicago and #8 in the world in the Condé Nast "Best Hotels in the World: 2021 Readers' Choice Awards."
Nadeem Siddiqui is an experienced General Manager, bringing 18-plus years of leadership expertise in hotel operations management. Siddiqui has worked with some of the most prestigious hotels and brands in the hospitality space, including the Waldorf Astoria Chicago during its launch phase and the Conrad Chicago.
Born in Dubai, Siddiqui has been a world traveler from a young age, which sparked his passion for the hospitality industry. During Siddiqui's free time he enjoys being with his family, traveling, and helping out in his community. During the pandemic, Siddiqui was the Co-Founder of the StuyTown pantry, delivering over 1.4M pounds of food to families in need in New York.
Inspired by the storied history of Chicago's grand hotels, The Gwen, is an Art Deco haven wrapped in 21st century amenities, located in the landmarked McGraw-Hill building on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Recognized by many esteemed travel organizations over the years, The Gwen's mission is to be one of the best boutique hotels in Chicago and beyond. Slated to open in 2023 is a 1,300 square foot terrace on the 6th floor adjacent to the Gallery Ballroom, perfect for year-round events and gatherings.
