David Horn has been appointed Vice President and General Manager at Durango Casino & Resort
David Horn is Vice President and General Manager of Durango Casino and Resort, a luxury resort destination developed by Station Casinos set to debut in late 2023. A 28-year veteran of the Las Vegas hospitality industry with more than two decades of experience at Station Casinos, Mr. Horn's appointment to lead the company's newest local-friendly project in the Las Vegas Valley marks his second turn as a general manager in the organization following his successful stewardship of Palace Station. With Durango currently in development, Mr. Horn oversees all phases of the pre-opening and day-to-day processes, including gaming, hotel operations, marketing and branding, partner relations, recruitment and sales.
Prior to his appointment at Durango Casino and Resort, Mr. Horn served for more than five years in dual roles as Vice President and Assistant General Manager at Palms Casino Resort as well as Corporate Vice President of Table Games for Station Casinos. For three years, he led operations as Vice President and General Manager for Palace Station. His leadership roles also include Director of Table Games for Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa and Director of Gaming Operations for Palace Station; as well as multiple managerial positions within the company. Mr. Horn has also held roles at Texas Station, Santa Fe Station, Wild Wild West casino, and in the company's corporate offices. He began his career with Station Casinos in 1994 when he took a front desk job at Palace Station.
A highly involved leader, Mr. Horn is recognized for his team member relationships and knowledge of the gaming and hospitality industries, having spent time working across multiple departments and developing an expert-level understanding of casino operations, gaming analysis, player evaluation, and team member development, among other highlights.
Mr. Horn originally hails originally from Sonoma County, California but has called Las Vegas home for nearly 30 years. Mr. Horn attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
