Dean Saunders joins Dunston Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort to drive the resort forward with new energy, focusing on people, guests and community.
Born and raised on the East Coast, Dean Saunders returns to his roots, being appointed as General Manager.
With an impressive 33 years of experience in hospitality and leisure, Dean originally started his career as a teenage lifeguard at Gunton Hall, which then developed into an initial five-year span at Warner Hotels. He then worked overseas for two consecutive years at a summer camp in Texas, USA. On his return to the UK, Dean worked in management positions for Haven Holidays, Kingswood Residential and Outdoor Activity Centre's and Premier Inn, before returning to Warner Hotels within senior management, which included two Hotel openings at Studley Castle, Warwickshire and Heythrop Park, near the Cotswolds.
Based in Great Yarmouth with his family, Dean is passionate and committed to working with the local community, bringing in local suppliers alongside collaborating with more local partners and networks.
As Dean focuses initially on people and community, further plans exist to invest in hotel refurbishments across the Hotel, including bedrooms, event and conference spaces. This involves modernizing facilities and improving digital media options.
