Shangri-La Jeddah has announced the appointment of Philma Gomes-Ellis as director of sales and marketing. She brings in 28 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales & marketing across South Africa, Kenya, Jordan, and Kuwait.
A seasoned and accomplished hotelier, Gomes-Ellis hails from South Africa where she garnered over a decade worth of sales & marketing experience in the high-end hospitality sector. She has held senior leadership roles at landmark properties based in Cape Town, Amman, and most recently Kuwait, where she successfully led the pre-opening teams of Grand Hyatt Kuwait, developed robust sales and positioning strategies along with managing key stakeholder relationships across multiple disciplines.
Gomes-Ellis will spearhead Shangri-La Jeddah's sales and marketing initiatives while implementing strategic plans to drive commercial efficiency and augmenting the hotel's reputation.
