Nicholas Heaviside has been appointed Complex Director of Food & Beverage at Marriott Hotels Dubai
Marriott International appointed a new complex director of food and beverage for six Wasl owned Marriott Hotel properties.
They are Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre, Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element Al Mina and Aloft & Element Dubai Airport.
Overseeing the operations of all six properties, Nick Heaviside brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Having held prominent positions in renowned establishments globally, he is known for his innovative approach and understanding of evolving gastronomic trends.
Heaviside's career in the culinary world has taken him from the Cote d'Azur in 2004 to 2008 before moving to Bahrain in 2010, where he worked as chef de cuisine.
His journey then took him to Qatar and Oman before working for Constance Hotels in the Seychelles from 2014 as executive chef and being promoted to executive assistant manager F&B in 2019.
In October 2021 he strengthened his Middle East and Africa experience by joining Rabat Marriott Hotel in Morocco as director of culinary, restaurant and events, opening the hotel with food concepts created in partnership with Joël Robuchon and Moroccan celebrity chef Najat Kaanache.
Heaviside is responsible for a total of 28 dining venues and bars, including Seafood Market, Kiku, Yalumba, Warehouse, The Dubliner's and more, and will oversee a team of 540 associates and 53 nationalities.
He will report to Bhavesh Rawal, hotel manager of Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre.
