Adil Berrady

The Kimpton Gray Hotel, a luxury lifestyle hotel in the heart of Chicago's Loop neighborhood, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Director of Food & Beverage Adil Berrady to the team. Bringing more than 20 years of experience to The Gray, Berrady will oversee the culinary operations of the hotel's two dining outlets - Vol. 39 and Boleo - as well as in-room dining and banquets. Berrady's leadership style is characterized by hands-on management, the gravitational force of positivity and a simple, straightforward approach to hospitality: "Treat everyone like you want to be treated, genuinely mean what you say and always follow through with your promises."

Originally hailing from Tangier, Morocco, Berrady embarked to the U.S. in 1998 at the age of 21 upon receiving a bachelor's degree in hospitality and restaurant management from The Higher International Institute of Tourism of Tangier. Born with a passion for service deeply rooted in his Moroccan background, Berrady's undergraduate journey included invaluable experiences in prestigious hotels and palaces across Moroccan cities, including Marrakesh, Casablanca and Fes, solidifying his commitment to the art of hospitality.

Fluent in French, Spanish, Arabic and Italian, Berrady commenced his illustrious hospitality career as the International Brand Ambassador for Morroco at Walt Disney World Resort's EPCOT. Subsequently, Berrady transitioned to The Sea Pines Resort as a sales agent in 1999, later assuming the role of assistant general manager at Antonio's Italian Cuisine in 2001, both located in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Following an eight-year tenure as a bartender and banquet server at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Fla. starting in 2005, Berrady assumed the role of assistant general manager at Hyatt Regency Greenville, S.C. in 2013. His career trajectory led him to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, where he served as the general manager of multi-unit operations from 2015 to 2021.

Berrady was honored with EPCOT's Brand Ambassador Award for his outstanding contributions to the Moroccan Pavilion during his tenure. Additionally, he was recognized for his unwavering commitment to respect, empathy, integrity, honesty, leadership and collaboration, earning him a nomination for Manager of the Year during his time at Hyatt Regency Greenville.

Most recently, in 2021, Berrady held the position of assistant director of food & beverage of Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago's Fisk & Co. Berrady was overjoyed to join Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, as the brand's values align seamlessly with his own, emphasizing compassion for both employees and guests, heartfelt human connections and a strong sense of responsibility to the broader community and environment.
