Miranda Burkes has been appointed Event Sales Manager at Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin
Burkes will oversee all aspects of Hyatt Centric Austin's events operations, including the hotel's recently expanded meeting & events spaces offerings.
Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin, the 31-story hotel located in the heart of downtown Austin, is pleased to announce the appointment of Miranda Burkes as Event Sales Manager for the property. The announcement comes on the heels of Hyatt Centric Austin's revamped flexible meeting & events space capabilities on the 2nd and 8th floors of the hotel, joining a variety of options also on the 3rd and 31st floors.
In this role, the seasoned hospitality professional will lead the events team working on behalf of Hyatt Centric Austin to ensure a seamless experience for guests and customers looking to utilize the hotel's over 7,000 square feet of versatile meetings & events spaces.
Working closely with the General Manager Harrison Compton, Burkes' responsibilities will include selling and servicing events, working with the client on menu planning and agenda setting as well as facilitating communication before, during, and after events with relevant hotel colleagues to ensure an exceptional level of service.
Burkes joins the team most recently from South Congress Hotel in Austin where she held the leadership position of Corporate Catering Manager. Prior to that, she held multiple positions at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, including Catering Sales Manager and Associate Sales & Catering Coordinator. Her industry experience will no doubt inform her work at Hyatt Centric, which will be heavily centered around managing the hotel's banquet food and beverage program.
