From there, Martins relocated to New York City to serve as director of sales at The Ritz-Carlton New York Central Park and reposition the hotel as a new luxury landmark in New York following a complete renovation. He then served as director of sales and marketing at the St. Regis Washington DC before returning to Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts in 2022 to open one of the new flagship hotels for the Waldorf Astoria brand, Waldorf Astoria Washington DC.
With the new appointment, the hotel aims to strengthen its executive commercial team. Martins will work closely with Jeffrey Petizon, who has moved to the role of Director of Revenue Management. Together, they will continue the success the hotel has seen since its opening in 2017.
