Fernando García Rossette

RCD Hotel Group, the trailblazing hospitality brand with an extensive portfolio of world-class properties across the world's most desirable destinations, such as Eden Roc Miami Beach, UNICO 20˚87 Hotel Riviera Maya and Nobu Hotel Los Cabos, today announced the appointment of Fernando García Rossette to General Manager of AVA Resort Cancun, a new elevated all-inclusive destination featuring over 1,600 ocean-facing rooms, countless culinary experiences, enriching events and programming, luxurious amenities, and a sustainable 2.8-acre AVA Bay powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology. Bringing more than 30 years of hospitality and executive leadership experience to resort destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean and the United States, García Rossette will oversee all operational aspects of the new resort, while maximizing revenue and maintaining focus on strategic goals.

A native of Mexico City with multinational experience, García Rossette joins AVA Resort Cancun from UNICO 20˚87 Hotel Riviera Maya˚ (also part of the AIC Hotel Group portfolio), where he served as General Manager for over seven years and led the resort to achieve AAA's Five Diamond designation for five years in a row. Prior to his tenure with UNICO, García Rossette was the Managing Director at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, where he oversaw the pre-opening and opening strategies and all aspects of operations of three hotels under one umbrella, including 491 suites, food and beverage and function space. Prior to that role, he held esteemed leadership positions throughout Mexico, including Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort and Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.

AVA Resort Cancun will open to the public on June 1, 2024.
