Glenda Rivera

Recently named one of the country's best new hotels by USA Today 10Best, Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton, California's only all-suite beachfront resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of General Manager Glenda Rivera. Bringing over 25 years of robust hospitality experience to her new leadership role, Rivera will serve as invaluable asset to the award-winning resort's continued success since its opening in fall 2022.

Drawing on more two decades of industry experience, Rivera is responsible for the day-to-day operations and commercial strategies for Zachari Dunes. Prior to joining the team, Rivera dedicated 20 years to immersing herself in hospitality operations through any array of experiences across the Hilton portfolio that took her to properties in major tourism destinations such as San Juan, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Aruba and San Francisco. No stranger to the California market, Rivera served as General Manager for Embassy Suites Los Angeles where she spent nearly three years leading ongoing property transformations, refining culinary offerings, curating guest experiences and driving awareness in the local, regional and national markets. Rivera's deep connection to the California coast, combined with her extensive background with the Hilton brand, will allow for a seamless integration of her comprehensive operational expertise into the hidden gem destination of Oxnard.

Rivera is committed to connecting the resort with the greater Oxnard community, creating a sense of place for local guests and travelers. Zachari Dunes features 250 spacious, multi-room suites, an expansive pool deck, refreshed public spaces, the signature restaurant Ox & Ocean, the locally inspired eatery and outdoor airstream cafe Sugar Beats, and 23,000 square-feet of meeting and event spaces set against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and the golden dunes on Mandalay Beach. In addition to being recognized as one of the country's best new hotels, USA Today 10Best also named neighboring 'Olol'koy Beach Park (formerly Oxnard Beach Park) in the number one spot of the outlet's coveted list of the best beaches in California to further position Zachari Dunes as an idyllic oceanfront escape.
