The Crescent Hotel, Fort Worth proudly welcomes Roberto van Geenen as its new General Manager. With an illustrious career spanning over 35 years in luxury hotel management, Mr. van Geenen brings a legacy of exceptional service and operational excellence to his new role.

Mr. van Geenen's career spans renowned luxury properties globally, including notable locations in London, Amsterdam, and Curaçao, the Netherlands Antilles. His leadership has been pivotal in the successful opening and conversion of six hotels, consistently raising standards and garnering acclaim. Notably, he has played pivotal roles in achieving Forbes Five Stars at hotels, such as The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, Palm Beach, and Naples and three AAA Five Diamond award-winning resorts in the U.S. His early career was marked by significant contributions to The Savoy in London, a cornerstone of the hospitality industry.

Beginning his journey in hospitality at an early age in his father's restaurants, Mr. van Geenen's commitment to service was further shaped by a distinguished military career as an officer in the Royal Marines. He continued to serve in the Royal Marines' Reserves for 20 years, demonstrating his dedication to leadership and discipline. A graduate of the Maastricht Hotel Management School in the Netherlands, Mr. van Geenen is fluent in English, French, German, and Dutch.

As General Manager, Mr. van Geenen will oversee all aspects of operations at The Crescent Hotel, including guest services, culinary excellence, and strategic development. His leadership will uphold the hotel's reputation as a premier destination for luxury and personalized service in Fort Worth.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. van Geenen is deeply engaged in community service and leadership. He served on the board of the North Texas Hospitality Association and held key roles, including President and Chairman. His contributions extended to the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, where he served as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. van Geenen is excited about his return to Texas, where he previously lived for 11 years, and he looks forward to continuing his legacy of excellence in luxury hospitality, inspiring both guests and colleagues alike.
