Peter Crinis has been appointed Group Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality at Gurner Group
Diversified property and lifestyle brand, GURNER™ Group has today announced the appointment of former Chief Executive Officer of Crown Sydney and Crown Hotels, Peter Crinis, as Group Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality.
One of the most established names in corporate hospitality, Crinis spent 24 years at Crown Resorts overseeing hospitality and service across Crown's 3,500 hotel rooms and 90 hospitality brands, before serving as Director of Melbourne Place Hotel.
Crinis is also a board member of Visit Victoria and the Children's Cancer Foundation, and CoChairman of the Million Dollar Lunch which has raised more than $21 million for the Children's Cancer Foundation since its inception in 2005.
Crinis' appointment is the 5 th major hire within the Group from a stable of ex-Crown Resorts personnel, as GURNER™ Group continues to rapidly transform its business operations into a cross-vertical model that is heavily focused on VIP luxury service and customer journey.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time in the Group's expansion with a portfolio of established Saint Haven and SAINT Private Clubs and hospitality offerings in operation, alongside 10 hotels in the development pipeline, sparking GURNER™ Group to confirm it is eyeing a hotel-specific capital fund to launch in 2025 under its funds management arm.
Crinis joins GURNER™ Group Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Fahour OA to round out the Executive team alongside Group founder and chairman, Tim Gurner, forming one of the most formidable private teams in Australia.
