After working briefly as an economist, he joined Protea Hotels 30 years ago. He has been influential in the establishment of Protea’s three brands, namely Protea Hotels, Fire and Ice! and African Pride, and has ensured that these core brands remain recognised as the leading hospitality trademarks on the African continent.
