Mia Mackman

Ms. Mackman is an award-winning, wellness-hospitality visionary. She is the owner and principal of MackmanES Consulting, a comprehensive spa-wellness-hospitality prevision consultancy. She specializes in complex facility design and development, financial and program matrix modeling, strategic planning, CRE underwriting, feasibility forecasting, and asset repositioning. Ms. Mackman is recognized as a vanguard in the wellness sector for her multidimensional approach, multidisciplinary knowledge, and 20 years of esteemed market accuracy. Consulting since 2001, Ms. Mackman works with global investment firms, owners, hotel and resort companies, mixed-use property developers, and hospitality organizations. She contributes as an industry expert to international business reports, global think tanks, Summit of Minds, and improving global industry standards. This supports her broad client base and ability to navigate and excel in these evolving markets. In 2016, Ms. Mackman accepted an invitation to partner with the global hospitality firm HVS to develop and chief the HVS Spa and Wellness Consulting Division as Managing Director. In this partnership, she created and spearheaded the division in 2017 and developed new-to- market spa and wellness financial models for HVS. Working with HVS clients, leading lending institutions, investment groups, and banks providing financial feasibility, spa and wellness consulting services, design/development, and underwriting for HVS’ global client network. Based in Sedona, Arizona, in the spirit of collaboration and community, Ms. Mackman is the Founder & President of the Arizona Spa & Wellness Association. She formed the Association in 2012 to create a platform in Arizona for connectivity, wellness modality education, and industry growth. In 2012, this was the first Spa & Wellness Association to enter the world market. The association was founded to integrate and elevate wellness attributes with traditional spa services. Since 2016, dozens of other similar associations have formed worldwide. She is a global awards judge for the World Spa & Wellness Awards, a global awards platform based in London, UK. She is a long-standing Hotel Business Review-Hotel Executive Editorial Board member and panel Champ and contributing expert, of Hospitality Net’s World Panel Wellness, Lifestyle, and Spa. Her core values include a wide range of social wellness and healing ecosystems aimed at improving quality-of-life, advancing personal and holistic health while creating new financial and program models for innovative and successful business outcomes.
