Dr Jonathon Day, is committed to ensuring tourism is a force for good in the world. He has worked on sustainable tourism and responsible travel projects in destinations from Australia to the Caribbean, Colombia to Nepal, as well as the United States. He is the author of “Introduction to Sustainable Tourism and Responsible Travel” and co-author of “The Tourism System 8th Edition”, and over 30 academic articles. Jonathon leads the Travel Care Code Initiative, a group of researchers and marketing executives committed to helping travel organizations and their clients travel more responsibly. Before becoming an academic, Jonathon was worked in destination marketing, and ran Tourism Queensland’s office in North America, promoting Australia’s Great Barrier Reef state to travel agents and consumers.
