Martin Verdon-Roe

Martin is the General Manager of Tripadvisor’s Hospitality Solutions business arm. He is tasked with the P&L responsibility of the unit, while leading the growth strategy and continued development of Tripadvisor’s existing solutions to maximize accommodation and restaurant partners’ long-term success. He achieves this by working directly and cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales & Operations. Most recently, his team has been supporting Tripadvisor’s accommodation and restaurant partners through the COVID-19 pandemic by providing free tools, such as Travel Safe and Contactless Menus, as well as financial relief in lockdown markets. They have also been building new solutions, revamping Business Advantage and launching Sponsored Placements Direct for accommodations, and launching Review Hub for restaurants. The team has exciting plans for Q4 2020 – watch this space! Prior to this role Martin, led the Global Display Business that he grew to 250+ people across 15+ countries, contributing an +80% profit margin. He also worked at AOL UK, Classic FM, IIR Exhibitions, and BBC Worldwide, as well as having a shorter than planned but fun motor racing career! Martin holds a BSC in Marine Biology from Newcastle University. Not content with all his business travel Martin also holds a private pilot’s license. He lives in Barnes, London.
