Akshara Walia

Akshara Walia joined the PKF hospitality group in 2016 and is based in Vienna. In her present capacity as Director of Research, her responsibilities include heading research, benchmarking and knowledge development efforts for the PKF hospitality group. Prior to joining the PKF hospitality group, Akshara worked for Abroader Consultancy India for four years. She covered market research and business consulting across the tourism and leisure, media and gaming, private security manufacturing and food processing sectors predominantly for clients based in Europe. Akshara has a Master of Tourism Destination Management degree from NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda, Netherlands and a Bachelor of Business Studies from Delhi University. She has conducted exploratory tourism research in Australia, Thailand and Indonesia as part of her studies. Akshara is currently pursuing a PhD in business and socio-economics at MODUL University Vienna
