Hester Nienaber

Hester Nienaber holds the qualifications D Com (PhD) (Strategic Marketing) Unisa; MBA, University of Pretoria; B Com (Hons) (Business Management), University of Pretoria; B Com (Marketing Management), University of Pretoria; Certified ROI Practitioner, ROIInstitute; ASTD Certificate in Human Performance Improvement, UJ (previously RAU); Certificate In Group Process Consultation and Facilitation, Unisa; IEB Certificate in Assessment; IEB Certificate in Moderation. Currently Hester fulfils the role of Research Professor at the Department of Business Management at Unisa. Her research focus area is “shaping competitiveness by developing human capital” (strategy implementation/performance gap; talent management and engagement). Previously Hester lectured strategic management and research methods to masters’ students. Hester has 30 years’ experience as management scientist, both in the public and private sectors. Her training and education career spans 16 years. Since joining the academic fraternity in 2007 Hester has produced a number of research outputs, including M & D graduates, articles published in national and international peer reviewed journals, on her own, with students and colleagues (SA and international), delivered papers at national and international peer reviewed conferences and contributed to books, both nationally and internationally. Hester regularly reviews papers for national and international journals as well as conferences and act as an external examiner for masters and doctoral students.
