Monika Krauthahn

Running her own consultancy for strategic marketing and sales leadership, Monika is now homebased in Frankfurt, Germany. As a catalysts, moderator and advisor, with thirty years in International Hospitality Management and a strong inner compass towards Sustainability, Monika is dedicated to help weave and anchor the UN 2030 goals deeper into the very fabric of our industry. With studies at Cornell University and an MA from University of Applied Science, Monika lived and worked in the US, the UK and Italy for many years. Having thus honed her intercultural interest, and her appreciation for much needed diversity and sustainability. Following these core values, she strives to be a creative and responsible connecter, collaborator, and co-creator in dynamic multi-lateral networks, with empathy, openness, and a humility. In July 2022, Monika formed the “Sustainability Catalysts in Hospitality and Beyond”, a dedicated hub on LinkedIn, encouraging proactive exchange, cross industry collaboration and co-creation around the subject of Sustainability, Corporate Social Governance, Organizational Change and New Leadership. Here ideas, questions, information, related articles, and best practice are shared amongst all stakeholders, including but not limited to Universities, Think Tanks, Hotels and Hotel Companies, Corporate Partners and Suppliers, Airlines, Associations, Tourism, and all other fields related to the subject of Sustainability and the UN Agenda 2030. As a member of the Sustainability in Hospitality World Panel, she is delighted to bring forth all her tools, experience, wide network and hearts compass to jointly pave the so very vital way for a clearer Roadmap to Sustainability in Hospitality and Beyond.
