Dr. Jeeyeon Jeannie Hahm is an Associate Professor in the Department of Tourism, Events and Attractions at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She earned her master's degree and Ph.D. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from UCF. Her teaching experience began in 2005 as a Graduate Teaching Associate while earning her Ph.D. She then taught as a visiting instructor at UCF before becoming a full-time faculty at The University of Alabama as an Assistant Professor in 2013. She joined the faculty at UCF as an Assistant Professor in 2015 and earned her promotion and tenure in 2021. Dr. Hahm teaches event-related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research interests include destination image and marketing, tourist behavior, film-induced tourism, event image, mega events, event attendee behavior, and sense of community or sense of belonging of event attendees. Her work has been published in top-tier journals in the hospitality, tourism, and event industries. Dr. Hahm has industry work experience in conferences, hotels, and vacation ownership resorts. She continues to serve on organizing committees of regional and international conferences.
