Taryn Fontenette

Taryn Fontenette is the director of catering and conference services at The Hotel at the University of Maryland. In this role, she applies her passion for surprising and delighting guests to help The Hotel deliver unforgettable experiences. Before joining the AAA four-diamond destination, Ms. Fontenette held various positions at high-profile venues, including Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton Hotels, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, where she consistently outperformed organizational goals. To share her enthusiasm and knowledge with the next generation of hospitality leaders, she is also an adjunct professor at Houston Community College. She holds a bachelor's degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and an associate's degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
