Aleksander is an experienced cybersecurity expert with over 18 years of experience in the field. Currently, he serves as the Chief Security Officer at Shiji Group, a global provider of technology solutions for the hospitality, food service, retail, and entertainment industries. In this role, Aleksander oversees the security and privacy measures essential for the company's modern technology stack, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and future-ready. Before joining Shiji Group in September 2017, he was a Senior Manager at EY's Advanced Security Center, providing cybersecurity advisory, compliance, and audit services. He also held the position of Information Security Manager at Tauron Polska Energia S.A., focusing on enhancing the company's information security posture and building Security Operations Center. During his career he collaborated with the Silesian University of Technology and the Naval Academy in Poland, where he gave lectures on IT systems security audits and personal data protection in the global IT solutions. He was a member of the program board of one of the major IT risk conferences in Poland. Holder of the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certificates. Throughout his career, Aleksander has contributed to numerous publications and studies on cybersecurity, highlighting the importance of preparedness against cyber threats and the critical role of employee awareness in maintaining information security. He is based in the Katowice Metropolitan Area and continues to be a prominent figure in the cybersecurity landscape.
