Chelene Potvin-Bird

Ms. Potvin-Bird is a recognized leader in the tourism industry with more than 30 years of experience and serving as a Director of Sales & Marketing for a large Seattle area complex of hotels. She earned degrees in hospitality and aligned areas including a B.Sc (Central Washington University), MBA (University of North Alabama), and is pursuing a Ed.D (Grand Canyon University). Ms. Potvin-Bird has held various senior leadership roles in the industry including Chief Strategy Officer of Group Development and Sales for a destination marketing organization, Vice President of Sales & Servicing for a City owned convention center, Director of Sales and Marketing for various hotels, and has enjoyed other roles in the industry such as a tour guide traveling the world, business travel manager, and special events coordination. She is perhaps most recognized for her contributions in identifying gaps to grow community infrastructure and influencing new development of services and assets that benefit the community including overseeing tens of millions of dollars invested in hospitality and tourism infrastructure.
