VANCOUVER, BC - Three Canadian CHIP Hospitality hotels have been ranked as top performers in the annual Top 100 Survey of North American Hotels by U.S.-based Lodging Hospitality Magazine. In the suburban category, the Mayfield Inn and Suites Edmonton was ranked 11th, the highest ranking of any Canadian hotel. The Sheraton Fredericton ranked 29th and the Delta Edmonton South was 35th in the same Top 100 category. Lodging Hospitality surveyed 10,000 lodging properties in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, receiving responses from 3,000 properties. Winners were determined based on each property's total sales divided by the number of guestrooms, giving smaller hotels an equal chance. This is the 25th year this leading U.S. travel trade magazine has conducted the survey.

"This recognition by the prestigious Lodging Hospitality Magazine is another sign of the strong foundation we have built by continuing to exceed the expectations of our guests and our owner-investors, " said CHIP Hospitality President Minaz Abji. "The strong performance of these three hotels is a sign that our customers recognize our value and service." The Mayfield Inn & Suites is West Edmonton's only premier four star hotel, located just minutes from the West Edmonton Mall. The Delta Edmonton South Hotel and Conference Centre is located at the corner of Whitemud Freeway and Gateway Blvd., only 15 minutes from the airport and downtown.

The Sheraton Fredericton is the largest hotel in New Brunswick's capital city, only minutes from the heart of commercial and government activity in Fredericton.
