Last week marked the launch of the European Tourism Manifesto.

Over 70 organisations representing the tourism sector in Europe lay out their priorities for the next legislative term.

HOTREC is a member of the Manifesto and took an active role in drafting the priorities.

Here's how to enhance the travel and tourism industry:

  • Decarbonisation
  • Smart EU funding
  • Resilient connectivity and freedom of movement
  • Skills training and sector appeal

For the EU institutions, the Tourism Manifesto Alliance calls on a new Commissioner for Tourism, a strong Tourism Taskforce at the European Parliament, and yearly Ministerial Meetings at the Council.
