RAMSEY, N.J., Dec. 11 - AlphaNet Hospitality Systems Inc. (AHS), the leading provider of hotel facsimile and business center services, announced today that it has signed an InnFax® licensing agreement with Protectur S.A. Protectur S.A., headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a major distributor of hotel room safes, door locking systems and mini-bar systems to the South American hospitality industry.

InnFax allows for the placement of customized multi-function facsimile machines in hotel guestrooms without the requirement for any rewiring, special cabling, or upgrades to hotels' telecom systems. Guests using InnFax receive a private fax number to ensure confidentiality during their hotel stay. Protectur S.A. will be marketing the InnFax Business Center, the IBC-5000, to business class hotels in Brazil and Argentina. In addition to faxing, the IBC-5000 unit includes plain paper PC printing and copying capabilities, and provides guests with complimentary daily news, financial and sports updates as well as in-room folio printing.

According to Protectur S.A., Brazil is experiencing one of the biggest booms ever in new hotel construction. The marketplace expects to add over 400 hotels within the next five years, representing over 70,000 new hotel rooms. "New hotels are being designed to cater to the international business traveler and thus the InnFax service is in high demand," said Mr. Davis.
