NEW YORK (August 13, 1999) - Hillier New York, the Manhattan office of The Hillier Group, the nation's third largest architecture firm, welcomes Wendy S. Brown to its Hospitality Studio. Brown, the senior vice president of Hospitality Interior Design, joins Paul Bellisario, RA, and John P. De Luca, RA, both associates of the firm. Bellisario and DeLuca launched the Hospitality Studio at Hillier New York in March under the direction of Robert J. Blakeman, AIA, studio principal.

At Hillier, Brown will expand the Hospitality Studio to offer complete interior design services in addition to the architectural services currently provided to the hospitality industry.

Throughout her 15-year career, Brown has created interiors for some of the world's best-known restaurants, casinos and international four- and five-star luxury hotels. She has led the interior design efforts at a number of renowned firms, including the restaurant design firm of Morris Nathanson Design as well as Brennan Beer Gorman Monk/Interiors, where she was a senior associate. Brown was responsible for the interior design direction of the Hyatt Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia; Caesars Atlantic City; Washington D.C.'s Westin Fairfax Hotel (formerly the Ritz-Carlton); and Gaddi's and the Verandah, restaurants at the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong.

Current Hillier Hospitality Studio projects include a four-star, 225-room hotel and conference center in Havre de Grace, Maryland, for Bulle Rock Resort in conjunction with Promus Hotel Corporation and Harrison Conference Centers; and a four-star, 150-room hotel and resort on the Red Sea in Ras Sedr, Egypt.

Brown studied interior design at the University of Cincinnati before receiving her bachelor of fine arts in interior architecture and a bachelor of interior architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Hillier New York offers services in architecture, planning, interior design, graphic design, historic preservation and landscape architecture to a national and international clientele.
