"Businesses need increased computing power to accelerate everything from Internet research to financial analysis - but they don't necessarily have a bigger budget to accommodate the purchase," said Ajay Gupta, vice president, desktops, Gateway, Inc. "The Gateway E-3600 delivers a one-two punch to improve businesses efficiency and productivity, by providing tremendous performance and robust features in an affordable package."
The Gateway E-3600 features the next-generation Intel 845 chipset, which combines high performance Pentium 4 processors with affordable memory. The highly stable platform provides long component life cycles resulting in reduced IT costs for product requalifications and ongoing support.
Gateway's E-3600 incorporates extensive manageability and security features that make them easy to maintain throughout the organization. Intel's LANDesk® Client Manager and built-in sensors continually monitor the health of the system's vital functions and alert staff of potential problems before downtime occurs. Its Wake-On-LAN technology powers on computers via a network server, helping IT staff to perform routine maintenance during non-working hours. The E-3600 also features remote system alerting capability that alerts IT staff to changes in system settings, configurations and components.
Busy IT organizations will appreciate the highly serviceable design of the E-3600. The systems can be opened via a tool-less entry for quick and easy servicing, resulting in reduced system downtime and increased productivity. Once inside the system, changes and upgrades are a snap with unique design features that give easy accessibility to components, such as a quick-release motherboard, scoreless and rail-less exterior drive bays and tool-free I/O adapter card installation.
Gateway designed the E-3600 to give customers the flexibility to tailor the system to meet their needs and budget. Features include:
