San Diego, CA - Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino has signed Lodging Management Systems to provide online services using LMS ResNet, one of the hospitality industry's most popular reservation and booking services.

Using LMS ResNet, future guests of Barona Valley Ranch Resort will be able to check hotel room availability, place reservations, pay via credit card and receive a confirmation number in real-time via the Internet. Barona's system is scheduled to go live later this summer.

"After a two year search, we have selected the most advanced reservations product available so our future hotel guests will enjoy superior service and convenience from the moment they begin to plan their vacation," said Clifford LaChappa, Chairman of the Barona Band of Mission Indians.

LMS ResNet was built with LANSA Software for the Web by Inter-American Data (IAD) as an extension to its Lodging Management System (LMS). LMS is an IBM iSeries-based property management package for hotels, casinos and resorts. A majority of the world's largest hotels and casinos including The Riviera, The Luxor, and The Venetian in Las Vegas use LMS ResNet.

"Barona Valley Ranch Resort is one of the most important new additions to our client portfolio," said Michael Caruso, of Lodging Management Systems. "As the Indian gaming leader in the West, and a soon to be world-class resort destination, Barona continues to set the standard in this growing hospitality category. We are excited our product has been selected to help Barona continue to deliver quality guest service and amenities."

The $260 million Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino expansion project is scheduled for completion in early 2003. The project includes a world-class resort with

400 guest rooms and suites, a 330,000 square foot casino, a five-level "smart" parking garage, and the 18-hole championship Barona Creek Golf Club, which was recently rated the 4th best course in the state of California by Golfweek Magazine.

The Barona Band of Mission Indians has lived in Southern California for over 5,000 years and the Barona Indian Reservation since 1932. The Tribe was once a nomadic band that traveled across Southern California in tune with the seasons and what nature provided. It is now a sovereign government operating one of the most successful casinos in California. For more information, visit .
