Marriott To Convert Columbus Adam's Mark To Renaissance Hotel
Property Will Undergo Complete Renovation
Marriott International, Inc., announced today that the Columbus, Ohio Adam's Mark hotel will become The Renaissance Columbus Hotel on April 5, 2004. The 415-room hotel, located at 50 North Third Street, will immediately undergo a comprehensive refurbishment to its guest rooms, meeting space, lobby, restaurant and bar that is expected to be completed by early 2005. The property will be owned by Terrapin Columbus, LLC and managed by Marriott International's Renaissance Hotels & Resorts brand.

The Renaissance Columbus Hotel will be distinctive and will capture the essence of the city and its namesake, Christopher Columbus. The hotel will be redesigned to welcome guests with an inviting sense of arrival as they enter the lobby. The new street restaurant and bar concept will cater to local clientele, as well as hotel guests, and feature imaginative food. The hotel will incorporate the Renaissance brand's signature Savvy Service that makes guests feel recognized and respected.
The hotel is situated in downtown Columbus within a few blocks from the Greater Columbus Convention Center and State Capital, and a ten-minute drive from the Port Columbus International Airport. The hotel currently offers 33,500 square feet of meeting space, including an 11,700 square foot ballroom.
