Starwood's Barry S. Sternlicht Receives Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from ATME
Association of Travel Marketing Executives Recognizes Starwood's Chairman & CEO as Market Leader

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. | Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.(NYSE:HOT - News) has the honor of announcing that Barry S. Sternlicht, Starwood's Chairman and CEO was selected by the Association of Travel Marketing Executives (ATME) Board to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was presented last night at The Westin Philadelphia during the 23rd Annual ATME ATLAS Travel Marketing Awards.

"Not only did Barry launch W Hotels, the most successful new hotel brand in recent history, he also created Westin's Heavenly Bed and a new guestroom design for Sheraton - all which continue to solidify Starwood as the industry champion."
The ATME ATLAS Awards are designed to encourage breakthrough thinking, innovative marketing and industry leadership. Work is judged on innovation, relevance to marketing needs and demonstrated results. The ATME ATLAS awards recognize executives and companies for innovative tactics, results-oriented programs and broad marketing vision.
The most prestigious ATME recognition is the ATLAS Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is for individuals judged by the ATME Board to have consistently distinguished themselves as marketing leaders who have advanced the travel industry worldwide.
