Hilton Hotels Corporation Reports Status of Hotels Affected by Hurricane Katrina
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. Hilton Hotels Corporation (NYSE:HLT - News) continues to monitor the status of Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The company reports that hotels in the metro New Orleans area and in the path of the hurricane are not taking arrivals within at least the next 24 hours, with status continually being monitored.
Guests whose travel plans have been disrupted directly by the storm are encouraged to contact Hilton Family toll-free reservations. Cancellation fees for transient business at hotels directly affected by the storm, or in areas experiencing mandatory evacuations are being waived for arrivals through Tuesday, August 30, 2005.
No major guest or team member injuries have been reported at the Hilton Family of Hotels. While no major structural damage has been reported, most hotels have reported water leaks, broken windows and minor stucco damage in various areas.
Hilton Family hotels that currently are accommodating guests in affected areas of Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi are utilizing emergency generators.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Pensacola-University Mall is closed to new arrivals through August 31. The Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach is closed through December 2005. Please check reservations status by individual hotel, as some hotels are not taking new short-term arrivals.
