Hyatt Regency Waikiki Selects Safeplace In-room Safes for All 1200 Rooms
The Hyatt Regency recently joined other fine Hyatt hotels in choosing the Safeplace laptop size safe with communication feature for its 1,200 guest rooms
Rockville, Md | The Hyatt Regency Waikiki, one of the finest hotels in Hawaii, has chosen Safeplace in-room safes for its 1,200 guest rooms. The installation of the Magna 800 laptop size safes in the twin towers began in January.
The Hyatt chose the Magna 800 because it is roomy enough to accommodate even the largest laptops. The raised buttons which light up when touched paired with the large display make the Magna the most user-friendly hotel safe available. "The unique communication feature is perfect for a hotel with the size and status of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki," reports Ravid Brosh, Safeplace V.P. North America. "By simplifying safe administration, it saves time and hassles for both the hotel and the guests."
At the Hyatt's request, safes are equipped to communicate directly with the automated minibar by Minibar Systems, a feature which benefits both the hotel and the guest. The communication feature allows the hotel to charge for guest usage automatically. Management can also issue a report showing safes left locked in vacant guest rooms and send a single security person to unlock all the safes in one trip, saving time and labor for the hotel. This in turn increases guest satisfaction, since the safe can be used immediately after check-in without the annoyance of having to call the front desk to have someone come and unlock the safe.
