PUERTO PENASCO, Mexico | If ever the professional pedigree of a chief executive portends a company’s success, the appointment of Fernando Garcia Rossette as Managing Director of the Las Palomas Beach and Golf Resort fits the mold. With more than 30 years of experience, Rossette is enjoying the unique challenge of developing a condominium hotel destination resort in the burgeoning destination of Puerto Peñasco, Mexico.

A seasoned professional within the Mexican hospitality industry he understands the importance of creating a distinctive destination for his guests to not just stay, but truly live. “I was attracted to this post by the massive change that is taking place in Puerto Peñasco,” says Rossette. “Las Palomas is leading the change and is set apart by its majestic views of the Sea of Cortez, its world-class 18-hole golf links, soon-to-open spa and events pavilion, and the strong sense of community our staff fosters for our guests,” he continues.

Rossette is responsible for overseeing 300 employees and guiding the general operational and financial direction of the golf resort community. Rossette has garnered a reputation for creating professional service standards that exceed guest expectations with an immaculate experience. Degreed from the Escuela de Tourismo in Granada, Spain, Rossette’s particular area of expertise is finance. In fact, he has often been recruited for his great success in turning lackluster properties into successful ventures, including tenures at the Holiday Inn in Puerto Vallarta as the Director of Operations, the Hotel Sierra Radisson Plaza in Manzanillo, Mexico as the Property Director and the Stouffer Presidente Cancun Hotel as the General Manager.

Prior to joining Las Palomas, he was the General Director of the Hotel Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from 2002 to 2006. Rossette joined the resort in its pre-opening phase and under his leadership the property garnered a Leading Hotels of the World distinction, a Four Diamond Award from the American Automobile Association (AAA) and was named the “Most Excellent Spa Hotel in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean” by Condè Nast Traveler.

Rossette is a member of the Chaine de Rottiseurs and in his free time he enjoys playing tennis, reading and having great food and wine with his wife Claudia.
