Dale Wielgus

PARIS, France | Sofitel, the prestige brand of Accor hotels with 200 upscale hotels in 53 countries, announces the appointment of Dale Wielgus to Human Resources Manager, Sofitel Worldwide. Wielgus’ responsibilities will include working in close collaboration with the Human Resources department for Northern & Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa on the brand project and with the Corporate Department for Human Resources on global Human Resources for policy. In his new position, Wielgus will play a key role in recruiting and setting up mobility policy for Hotel General Managers and will be responsible for structuring the development process for young potentials, creating and playing a leading role in the brand’s training courses and coordinating the worldwide network of Sofitel Human Resources.

Wielgus joined the Accor Group in 1998 as a field Human Resources Manager at Motel 6. In 1999, he transferred to New York with the Accor Business and Leisure division, where he became Corporate Director of Human Resources and was later promoted to Vice President of Human Resources, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Training for Accor North America.

Before joining the Accor Group, Wielgus held human resources, training and operational positions at Sportservice for the Chicago White Sox, Delray Farms and Auchan Hypermarkets. Wielgus is a member of the Society of Human Resources Managers.
