"Whitewall's vision to make the contemporary art world more accessible has been beautifully realized within the suite, and offers guests the rare chance to live with, learn about and even collect some incredible works of art," said Editor in Chief, Katy Donoghue. In-room iPads allow guests to interact with the exhibition, providing access to information on the featured artists and their works.

In addition, Suite 5000 allows guests to become immersed in the finest of the city's film and music. A collection of films featuring New York City are available for viewing on a 75-inch flat panel television in the suite's state-of-the-art media center. The living room has a diverse record collection that has been curated by New York City's own Academy Records, and the in-suite iPad boasts an exclusive "Soundtrack of New York."

"When designing a new signature suite for Mandarin Oriental, we wanted to capture the spirit of New York as well as the comfort and ease of a personal residence," said Christina Hart, Interiors Partner at BBG-BBGM. "Suite 5000's aesthetic looks to the property's oriental heritage as inspiration while also celebrating the grandeur and elegance of Manhattan with modernist touches and superior craftsmanship throughout."
