It's so exciting to introduce to you Hyatt Centric – Hyatt's newest full-service brand. We just announced our plans for this global brand to owners and developers at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS). What I love most about this new brand is that it's the result of a two-year journey, working closely with guests and our owners to test and perfect the experience that you've told us you want. Hyatt Centric hotels will allow us to better serve a particular lifestyle – the one of a wanderer, planner and wishlister. We we like to call them the "modern explorers."

Who exactly is the modern explorer? They're a group of multigenerational, savvy, curious consumers who want an uncomplicated but intuitive experience. They also want to really live the destination, regardless of whether they are in town for an overnight business trip or a week-long vacation.

Does this sound like you? We hope so! Because we're launching Hyatt Centric with the plan to unveil over 15 hotels this summer in key destinations such as New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Paris.

That leads to the name "Centric," which means to be in the middle of the action and in the know, and that's what guests can expect from these hotels. Each location will have its own personality and design touches that reflect the location.
