GHM, the luxury hotel group that's won acclaim for artfully designed hotels and resorts from Bali to Switzerland, is venturing into new waters this month with its first ever blog, GHM Journeys.

Much more than one poster's impressions on a narrowly defined range of topics, GHM Journeys is a penetrating look at attractions in destinations served by the group's properties, art and culture, culinary arts and lifestyle and design.

"What we're delivering at GHM Journeys is exactly the kind of guidance, insight and opinion that our general managers and concierges impart every day," said Clement Koh, senior vice president of sales and marketing. "We recognise how travel patterns have evolved and with this new initiative, we are trying to engage with guests at a level that's more interactive and engaging than the typical exchange in a lobby."

The blog is a collaboration between the hotel group founded by hoteliers Adrian Zecha and Hans R. Jenni in 1992, and DestinAsian, an award-winning luxury and lifestyle magazine with offices in Singapore and Jakarta. Now in its 15th year of publication, DestinAsian is Southeast Asia's premier luxury travel magazine, with a readership of 105,000 in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. The launch of the new portal is part of a wider, marketing trend, across all industries, that puts brands in charge of their own content.
