The eight–story extended stay hotel includes 129 suites and opens following an investment of more than US $12 million by Hotel Royal Plaza, S.A. de C.V. The Staybridge Suites brand has seen strong growth in Mexico with recent openings in Monterrey, Chihuahua, Guadalajara and Queretaro. This hotel marks IHG's sixth property in Puebla and the first Staybridge Suites hotel in the city.

The new property offers spacious suites, which will include a mix of studio and one-and two-bedroom/two-bathroom suites, along with more than 700 square feet of meeting space. Amenities such as a complimentary daily hot breakfast buffet and The Social evening receptions Tuesday through Thursday, 24-hour guest lounge, as well as an outdoor living room with barbecue and fire pit are available for all guests. The hotel also offers daily housekeeping, on-site guest laundry facilities, 24-hour business and fitness centers and an outdoor swimming pool.

The city of Puebla is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Mexico and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
