Paul Smith's College, a private institution located within the Adirondack Park, has selected Hotelogix's property management system (PMS) to educate their students. The college has implemented the cloud-based management system to familiarize students with modern management techniques that have replaced traditional methods which involved excel sheets and legacy systems.

Occupying over 14,000 acres of estate northwest of Saranac Lake, Paul Smith's offers two-year and four-four year programs in a number of streams including natural resources, biology, culinary arts, and hotel and restaurant management. Having found the system through an online search, the institute was impressed by the positive feedback left by other users and decided to try using the PMS. The college was previously using a legacy system and with technology in hospitality escalating so rapidly, acquainting the next generation of hoteliers with modern systems is the natural thing to do.

Hotelogix had recently entered their 100th country and have been gaining widespread prominence with their intelligently designed property and distribution management systems. It was among the many factors that encouraged the college to go with the system, along with the simple interface and automation of reservation operations. The group reservation system in particular was highly appreciated by Kelly Cerialo, a member of the teaching staff for Hotel, Resort & Tourism Management.
