Meliá Hotels International Announces Plans To Transform Meliá Cabo Real Into Paradisus Los Cabos
Ninth Paradisus property is part of a multi-million renovation, slated to open December 2016
Palma Mallorca, Spain -- Meliá Hotels International, one of the largest hotel companies worldwide, with more than 370 hotels in more than 40 countries and four continents, announced today that it will transform Meliá Cabo Real into Paradisus Los Cabos, which is part of a US $35 million renovation to convert and upgrade the existing property. Set to open December 23, 2016, this property will be the ninth Paradisus resort in its portfolio and the fourth in Mexico, and will feature 28 unique ocean view swim-up suites, more than 90 Royal Service guest rooms, which is the brand's signature adult-only offering, providing personalized butler service that is an ideal option for both wedding parties and honeymooners. The resort will also feature a fine dining restaurant, Passion by Martin Berasategui, a brand standard, where guests will get to experience world-class cuisine by seven Michelin star-rated chef Martin Berasategui.
Located only 25 minutes from San Jose del Cabo International Airport, on the largest swimmable beach in the Cabo Corridor, Paradisus Los Cabos will be set on 14.5 acres surrounded by a private golf course (Cabo Real Golf Course) and picturesque mountains. The resort will feature 350 guest rooms including 98 Royal Service Suites with butler service, 30 Family Concierge Suites, and 28 Ocean View Swim-up Suites. Paradisus Los Cabos' amenities will include signature adult-only Royal Service, Family Concierge, offering a vacation experience with families in mind, four swimming pools, three bars and six restaurants, featuring a variety of international cuisines.

Providing architecture that speaks to the senses, from signature Paradisus scents and design that is modern and bright, Paradisus Los Cabos will offer an unmatched experience that will be unforgettable. Family Concierge will feature its own lounge with private check-in/out, internet access, VIP lounge offering snacks and beverages during the day and the daytime assistance of our certified Family Concierge staff to help families create the most memorable vacation experience. Similarly, guests at Royal Service suites will have their own private check-in/out lounge with sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez, where they can treat themselves to daily continental breakfast buffet, snacks, coffee and premium beverages throughout the day as well as access to international newspapers. In Royal Service tradition, guests will also count with their individualized certified butler, who they can contact all-day with cell phones provided at check-in.
Paradisus Los Cabos will provide guests with a superior culinary program that will take dining to the next level. Restaurant options include Naos Fresh Market (international buffet), Bana (contemporary Asian), Market Grill (Italian-Argentinian), Mole (modern Mexican), and La Palapa (exclusive poolside Royal Service grill). Additionally, for an added cost, guests at Paradisus Los Cabos will have the opportunity to dine at Passion by Martin Berasategui, which features award-winning cuisine by Michelin star-rated chef Martin Berasategui. At Passion guests can indulge in either an à la carte menu or a tasting menu carefully curated by the chef. For those that want to enjoy more of a party atmosphere, they can experience any of the resort's bars and lounges, which includes Avenue Bar, Wet Bar Swim-up Pool Bar and GABi, a two story beach club with a roof top terrace overlooking the ocean.
Event space is also one of the property's key selling points, offering one of the largest convention centers in Cabo set to open Spring 2017, and featuring a ballroom with auditorium-style capacity for up to 1,100 people and ten breakout rooms. There are also a variety of open areas on property providing multiple settings for events, such as gardens, pools and an oversized beach area accommodating up to 3,000 people. For weddings, the resort will feature a beachside Wedding Gazebo, where services can be arranged by one of the romance specialists that will ensure the couples dream wedding becomes a reality.
