MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Menin Hospitality has entered into an agreement to manage Shelborne South Beach, one of Miami Beach's most iconic landmarks. The hotel was originally constructed in 1940 and recently underwent a dynamic renovation valued in excess of $150 Million. With 200 luxurious guest rooms, a full service spa, as well as multiple leisure and entertainment venues, Shelborne is located in the heart of South Beach's Art Deco District.

As part of Menin Hospitality's growth strategy, Shelborne South Beach joins the company's hotel portfolio that most recently added Mondrian South Beach and now totals nearly 1,000 guest rooms under management. Other Menin Hospitality hotels include The Gale, Kaskades, Bentley, and Sanctuary in South Beach as well as the Rafaello Chicago. The group's restaurant and nightlife portfolio includes Radio Bar, Bodega Taquería Y Tequila, Pizza Bar, Halves & Wholes, Picciolo, Ricky's and Drumbar in Chicago, as well as Bakehouse, a French brasserie marketplace and café, set to open later this year.

Since 2005 Menin Hospitality has been recognized as a leader in hospitality industry and has been rapidly expanding its collection in hotels, restaurants and nightlife. "We are extremely excited about the addition of the iconic Shelborne Hotel and all the added amenities this beachfront property will bring," says Keith Menin, Managing Principal of Menin Hospitality. "Our company's eclectic portfolio is a testament to our success and to our reputation in the Miami marketplace"

"We are thrilled to welcome Jared Galbut and Keith Menin back to the Shelborne to manage this property through this transition," commented Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, President Flag Luxury Group, owners of Shelborne South Beach. "They developed their passion for hospitality at this hotel and founded Menin Hospitality which has become a leading operator of luxury lifestyle properties."

Located at the intersection of 18th Street and Collins Avenue, The Shelborne is also the home of Top Chef alums Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth's most recent restaurant The Sarsaparilla Club. This American Dim Sum outlet features unique flavors and a fresh take on American classics. Another venue on site is The Drawing Room Bar & Lounge, a classic cocktail venue where liquid artists mix drinks that feature fresh, local ingredients, herbs and botanicals.

The hotel has 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, that will add significantly to Menin Hospitality's already vibrant event production capabilities. This world-class event space is meant to draw corporate events, charity fundraisers, weddings and more to Miami. Menin Hospitality will also bring its famous GUYandGIRL spa to the Shelborne South Beach, ensuring that guests have a top tier experience when staying on property.
