Lausanne - EHL Advisory Services, EHL Group's consultancy firm, has developped a ready-to-implement package of procedures and training to quickly enable independent hotels and hotel associations to reassure their customers and welcome them back in a safe and checked environment. Upon successful implementation, hotel properties will obtain a renewable label that will help them maintain the highest international standards and foster the much needed consumer confidence in a post-COVID world.

The participating hotel will receive a ready-to-implement package explaining the program, including attention points and additional procedures as well as on-the-job training sessions for its team. EHL Advisory Services' toolset will quickly enable all of the hotel's departments to meet the enhanced hygiene requirements, and enable it to keep on competing with larger operators, as tourists slowly start flowing back in.

In a new global context of fear and uncertainty around health risks and increasingly stringent sanitary measures, the hospitality industry is looking to emerge with new measures that must facilitate the return of customers. Travellers planning their next vacation, or first business trip in months will bee keen to find an establishment that reassures its customers with the highest standards to protect them from potential sanitary risks.

Based on best practices and protocols developped by EHL Advisory Services in collaboration with Working Safe, this program provides an external validation of how well a property has implemented the recommended procedures. EHL Advisory Services has also drawn from the expertise gained by the Group using products and standard procedures from the global hygiene leader Ecolab.

Tailored to each property

Although largely standardized, specific recommendations adapted to each hotel set-up and current procedures will be formulated by the experts commissioned, as part of the service package.

A badge of recognition to the adherence of the defined safety and hygiene standards will be delivered by EHL Advisory Services, and will serve to reassure guests of the establishment's commitment to following industry-leading practices in hygiene.

A tool for recovery

Created with the chief intent of stimulating the recovery, the program was designed through the price-conscious lens of an independent hotelier. Pricing is adapted to enable property owners to set up world-leading standards and procedures at a cost that is neither prohibitive nor harmful to their recovering bottom line.
