AAHOA’s Inaugural North Central Region Charity Golf Tournament, held in Indianapolis, Ind., raised more than $63,000 to benefit Make-A–Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Association, Night Angels, and Bavaji Charities. The event, which attracted 150 participants, was hosted outdoors
with appropriate social-distancing measures, masks, and other health and safety protocols in place.

“America’s hoteliers are renowned for their hospitality, charity, and community engagement. It was great to see that on display as AAHOA Members, vendors, and industry partners came together to help four great charities,” AAHOA Interim President & CEO Ken Greene said. “Our North Central Regional Director Bhavesh Patel and the North Central Ambassadors worked hard to make this event a success.”

AAHOA Chairman Biran Patel said, “Even as the hotel industry continues to emerge from such a difficult year, AAHOA Members and our industry came together to support vital causes in their communities. This tournament is a reminder that we turned the corner in the fight against COVID-19, and I am grateful for the hard work and thoughtful planning that made this event safe, successful, and memorable.”

AAHOA North Central Regional Director Bhavesh Patel said, “Thank you to all the AAHOA Members, vendors, and industry partners for supporting our inaugural charity golf tournament. Because of our sponsors’ and Members’ hard work and dedication, we are able to support four great causes in our communities.”
