Guestline enables hoteliers to capture and leverage data with the launch of its new foundational reporting platform, Guestline Insights – which is available to all Rezlynx PMS and CRS customers. It’ll provide the answers to questions such as:

  • Where are we acquiring the most business?
  • Who are our guests? Why are they booking with us?
  • What opportunities for new business can we identify?

Quality data is essential for answering these questions and to both develop and monitor a robust marketing, commercial and business strategy. Recognising that data has real value is the first step, but how do hoteliers ensure they are capturing the right data, and most importantly how do they use that data most efficiently?

Spend time using data rather than gathering it

Guestline Insights has been developed to save hoteliers most precious resource – time. Using data effectively takes time to extract and transform it into actionable reports and dashboards that inform essential business decision-making by hotel management teams. We want our customers to spend more time using data rather than preparing it.

Essential PMS data topics and metrics

In Insights we have focused on visualising a range of essential operations and distribution metrics that our customers have told us are most important to them:

  1. Long Term pick-up & cancellation trends – our COVID-19 report shows a year-over-year tracker of net created bookings, giving a quick and actionable benchmarking of booking pace over time
  2. Management reporting - a portfolio of management reporting covering each area of a hotel’s bedroom operation including:
  • A summarised “one-page” flash report
  • Booking and guest traffic drilldowns for historic and future stay dates
  • Revenue on the books and actual revenue received drilldowns
  • Bedroom usage, availability & occupancy
  1. Short-term pickup, loss and pace reporting - to evaluate the rate of new business generation and identify opportunities or pain points
  2. Additional spend reporting – to evaluate where your guests are spending their money outside of ordinary bedroom packages
  3. Guest profile reporting – to evaluate the completion and quality of essential data for your marketing operations

These features have been developed as part of the Guestline ‘One Platform’ single sign on initiative, allowing users to log in once and navigate seamlessly between Rezlynx PMS and CRS, Roomlynx Distribution and Insights reporting.
