With nine new hotel openings planned for 2022, including Hampton by Hilton Bath City, Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone and Lost Property St. Paul’s London, Curio Collection by Hilton, the company anticipates growing demand as international travel resumes.

The hiring announcement follows a strong year for recruitment at Hilton in 2021, despite the continued shifting of Covid restrictions. Over the past 12 months Hilton successfully welcomed nearly 4,000 new Team Members across the UK and Ireland, including 38 through the UK government’s Kickstart scheme to help 16–24-year-olds into work.

Julie Baker, UK&I vice president operations, Hilton said: “Whether you’re looking for better flexibility, career progression or want to embrace something completely new, Hilton truly prides itself on creating an award-winning workplace culture where Team Members are nurtured and can thrive. Hilton’s apprenticeship programme provides a structured training plan to help participants gain the skills and knowledge for a successful career in hospitality. Apprentices are mentored and trained by experienced Team Members as they learn the art of hospitality and work towards a nationally recognised diploma.

Rabee Bond, aged 19, began his apprenticeship at Hilton Watford and now works as a Food and Beverage Team Leader.

Rabee said: “Working at Hilton, I’m learning something new every day. Whether it’s how to speak to guests or understanding hotel operations, I’m constantly improving. The best thing about the Hilton apprenticeship is the training we receive. I’m mentored by the best in the business who genuinely care about my personal and professional development, and would go above and beyond to ensure I’m growing."

“In my opinion, there isn’t a better place to work and if you’re interested in an apprenticeship, I would say go for it. All the teams and Team Members here work closely every day to bring a sense of trust and connection. It really feels like a family.”
