Pictet acquires Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, Spain
Switzerland-based Pictet Group has acquired the five-star Kimpton Aysla Mallorca as part of a turnkey sale, through funds managed and/or advised by Pictet Alternative Advisors, for an undisclosed sum. The hotel is located on the Balearic Island of Mallorca in the municipality of Calviá, 20 km south-west of Palma, next to Santa Ponsa Golf Club and Santa Ponsa Tennis Club. The hotel extends over an area of 21,840 sqm and will include 79 guest rooms, restaurants, two outdoor swimming pools, one indoor swimming pool, a wellness area, fitness facilities and meeting amenities. The property will be managed by IHG under its luxury lifestyle flag Kimpton, which will be the brand’s first resort hotel in Spain and the second flag of its kind in the country.
Aermont acquires NH Milano Palazzo Moscova in Italy, from Allianz
London-based Aermont Capital, through an affiliated fund, has acquired all the shares of an Italian real estate alternative investment fund, which includes the NH Milano Palazzo Moscova in Milan, from German Allianz Group. The four-star, 65-room property is located in Porta Nuova in Milan, the central business district of the city. The hotel features a restaurant, spa, gym and meeting facilities.
Leonardo Hotels acquires Hotel Florida in Fuengirola, Spain, from ML Hotels
Berlin-based Leonardo Hotels has acquired its tenth hotel in Spain, the Hotel Florida in Fuengirola, from ML Hotels, for an undisclosed sum. The four-star, 184-room property has been rebranded as the Leonardo Hotel Fuengirola Costa del Sol and is situated half an hour from both Marbella and Malaga city. The hotel offers a wide range of facilities including four bars and a restaurant, conference rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a spa, and is planned to undergo a renovation.
JPI Hospitality acquires Hotel Tres Playas in Mallorca, Spain
JPI Hospitality, a hotel investor based in Vienna, has acquired the Hotel Tres Playas in Mallorca, Spain, for an undisclosed sum. The four-star, 137-room property is located in Colònia de Sant Jordi, by the coast on the Balearic Island. A refurbishment project is planned for the hotel, with a reopening date scheduled for the second quarter of 2022, to reposition the asset to a mid to high-end lifestyle beach resort. The hotel complex spans almost 8,000 sqm and features a restaurant and bar, pool, fitness area, a spa, beachfront sun decks and meeting facilities.
